Rupert ‘Ojiji’ Harvey

Rupert “Ojiji” Harvey is a pillar of Canadian reggae and soul, co-founding groundbreaking groups Crack of Dawn and Messenjah—both the first Black Canadian bands in their genres to sign major label deals—and forging a decades-long legacy as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, award-winner, and martial arts master. Born in Jamaica and raised in Canada, Harvey launched Crack of Dawn to national success, later released the genre-blending solo album Ojiji the Shadow, and helped propel Messenjah to international acclaim and a JUNO win. His recent work, including “Blazing Iron” and “Old Friends” continues to highlight the Canadian-Caribbean experience through music and film. READ MORE

Carl ‘Carlos Bandana’ Harvey

Carl Harvey is a musical omnivore whose masterful guitar work, engineering talent, and production skill have shaped a remarkable forty-plus-year career, beginning with his Jamaican roots and early blues inspirations and leading to global tours with Toots & The Maytals, acclaimed solo albums, and innovations like his custom “Rastacasta” guitar—yet through triumphs, loss, and constant evolution, he remains a spirited creator still producing, performing, and collaborating at the highest level. Charles ‘Tower’ Sinclair
Bass
Charles Tower Sinclair is a powerful Bass player that is known for his amazing playing and great stage presence. Charles has been performing with Messenjah since 1986 and remains an integral part of the band.He’s also a well-known sideman that has toured with too many artists to mention. Here’s a small list of some of the acts Black Uhuru, The Abyssinians, Barrington Levy, The Stylistics and many more. As owner of Korner Stone Recording Studio, he has been involved in countless productions. He’s known for his no nonsense approach to both live performances and recordings, as he is the ultimate perfectionist. Tower was born in Jamaica then migrated to the United States as a young child. He grew up in NYC before relocating to Canada in the late 70ts.

Orville ‘Wyz’ Malcolm

Orville Malcolm is an accomplished musician, writer, producer, and engineer whose work with Digital Korner Productions—formerly Kornerstone Inc. in Toronto and Bermuda Soul Records—has shaped reggae and urban music across Canada and beyond; having performed with legends like Wyclef, Black Uhuru, Barrington Levy, and Marcia Griffiths, contributed to multiple Juno Award–winning albums, earned Producer of the Year at the Canadian Reggae Awards, and collaborated with icons such as Bushman, Beenie Man, Luciano, and Gregory Isaacs, he continues to expand Digital Korner’s global reach through chart-topping releases, film and commercial projects, and the development of new talent while championing the company’s mission to create boundary-breaking music rooted in R&B, reggae, gospel, and jazz.
